President Barack Obama will be sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan in an effort to get things under control there. For those of you wondering, why would the president send more troops after he promised to bring our troops home from war? In a way that is true, and in a way that is not true. He actually said he would start withdrawing troops from Iraq and would consider sending more troops to Afghanistan, back when he was running for president.
